Highland Peat Sour
The Pinewood · Decatur

Flavor profile
Bonfire smoke, lemon lift, silky foam — a Scotch sour that stays bright.
Our take
Peat in a sour can read like a dare; here the orgeat rounds the Islay edge while lemon keeps the lift honest. The foam is dense enough to feel luxe, not gimmicky.
It is still unmistakably smoky — if you shy away from maritime peat, order something else. For the rest of us, it is one of the better Scotch sours in the metro.
